EWASA

The e-Waste Association of South Africa (eWASA) was established in 2008 to manage the establishment of a sustainable environmentally sound e-waste management system for the country. Since then the non-profit organisation has been working with manufactures, vendors and distributors of electronic and electrical goods and e-waste handlers (including re-furbishers, dismantlers and recyclers) to manage e-waste effectively.

SAEWA

The Southern African E-Waste Alliance (SAEWA) is a non-profit organisation which helps to coordinate responsible management of the entire electronic waste (e-waste) stream in a one-stop shop format nationwide (and beyond). It takes many different working partners to achieve a fully comprehensive e-waste management solution. Therefore the e-Waste Alliance is made up of independent business partners who are able and willing to work together in symbiotic working agreements to handle all parts of the e-waste stream in the most integrated and value added manner and according to the best technologies locally available while assuring safe data destruction at all times.

IWMSA

The Institute of Waste Management of Southern Africa (IWMSA) is a multi-disciplinary non-profit association that is committed to supporting professional waste management practices.

MY WASTE

So, you've decided to "GO GREEN." You've replaced your regular light bulbs with energy efficient compact fluorescent light bulbs and purchased recycling bins. You've even organised that pile in the garage. You know the one outdated audio equipment, used cans of paint, even an old car battery. You're feeling pretty proud of your self, until you realise, "Hey. How do I get rid of all this stuff ?" And no, you can't just put it out with the trash. Now that is where MY WASTE comes in.

My Waste's mission is to deliver information that enables people to actively contribute to sustainability, a concept the United Nations defined in 1987 as "meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
